Chris was honored to compose additional music for Brian Tyler and Sven Faulconer’s fantastic score for Scream VI.
“Because my grandmother passed from COVID in March of 2020, we were never able to give her the send-off she deserved. This fall, I wrote this piece in her honor, and 65 incredible musicians helped me bring it to life.”
Chris had the pleasure of writing additional music for the critically acclaimed nature docuseries Tiny World alongside composers Benjamin Wallfisch and Chris Egan. Tiny World is now streaming on AppleTV+.

Chris Ryan was awarded the ASCAP Steve Kaplan Award at the 2019 ASCAP Foundation Honors Ceremony held at New York’s Lincoln Center. This award, named in memory of Steve Kaplan, award-winning television and film composer whose music is featured on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, provides financial assistance to a composer attending ASCAP's Film Scoring Workshop in Los Angeles. The recipient is selected by ASCAP's Los Angeles Film & Television department in conjunction with workshop mentors, and is generously funded by The Kaplan Family.

“You know, I often joke that anyone trying to figure out what to do with their life should think back to what they were doing when they were ten years old. When I was ten, I was managing my school’s broadcast club, making short films with my friends, and building didgeridoos out of PVC pipes in my garage. So, I guess I sort of landed in the only logical place for a weirdo like me!”
